Eat Like a Local — Hue Free Walking Food Tour

Lovely tour, amazing local places, super friendly and knowledgeable guide! We were not even close to the last place and were already full, as the food was so delicious and the portions were very big!

Everything was really good!!! Sue explained every ingredient on each dish as well as its history and other facts. The combination of places was perfect

Rose was a fantastic guide. You can tell how passionate she is about sharing Hue and their food with her groups. She took us to some incredible places where I got to try foods I wouldn't have known to order otherwise and gave us a glimpse into local culture. Would highly recommend this tour!

Did the Hue Walking Food Tour with guide Rose. She was very friendly and had a good menu planned. Our group was got along well and had good chats along the way. We tried various local food, all delicuous. Rose was entertaining and explained what we were having at each stop. I had food that I would not have found on my own. Highly recommended to get familiar with local food.

È stata una splendida esperienza! Bôn ci ha fatto scoprire dei piatti che non conoscevamo tipici di Hue in dei ristoranti di strada frequentati quasi solo da Vietnamiti quindi davvero autentici. È stato inoltre molto disponibile a raccontarci la storia della città, dei piatti, del Vietnam e a rispondere a tutte le domande che avevamo. Sicuramente consigliatissimo a chi vuole fare un’esperienza autentica, fuori dai classici posti da turisti!

La nostra guida, James Bôn (!!!) è stata fantastica. Ha scelto dei ristoranti buonissimi e anche economici! In più è stato estremamente simpatico e professionale, abbiamo passato una serata bellissima con un clima amichevole, scoprendo le delizie nascoste di Hue! Consigliatissimo!

Ruby es genial, muy amigable y con gran conocimiento de la cultura y gastronomia local. El tour fue muy bueno, interactuamos y opinamos sobre nuestros gustos. Ella se mostro interesada en conocer cómo nos sentiamos con la comida y los sabores. Visitamos restaurantes y probamos comida que nunca hubieramos alcanzado ni entendido como turistas. Muy recomendable.

This was a great mix of local cuisines down little side alleys and on corners that were authentic. Our tour guide, Bon, was really lovely and had a great knowledge of food and Vietnamese history. He took great care of us and was a joy to get to know. Really recommend this.

Last night with Rose was absolutely fantastic. The food was incredible and the whole evening was relaxed, interesting and great fun. Rose is a wonderful host and explains everything so well. We left full, happy and having learned a lot about the local food and culture. A really memorable evening.

What a wonderful experience! Our tour guide Ruby was knowledgeable and friendly -- we were able to take away the recommendations from this experience and completely expand our perspective on Vietnamese food. The choices were amazing (we went back to several of the restaurants afterwards), and we learned a lot about the context of the dishes. Highly recommend!

Ruby was absolutely awesome! All recommendations were very unique and not somewhere I would have found on my own. I really appreciated her knowledge and stories about Hue cuisine and had a very enjoyable time with the group.

Our tour with Sue was a highlight of our trip to Hue. She took us to many local spots we would have never found on our own and all the food was delicious. She was not only super knowledgeable about every dish we ate but also gave us deep insight into the people of Hue and their way of life. I would 100% recommended this tour!

Rose is a great guide! Really client orientated, funny, knowledgeable and attentive. All the dishes were absolutely curious, unusual and delicious. Some we loved more, some less, but overall experience always great! Highly recommend everyone who's seeking an authentic experience!

We really enjoyed this tour with a very nice small group. Rose is an excellent guide and she took us to small family run places we wouldn’t have visited otherwise. We ate lovely food and enjoyed learning about it and the traditions around life in Hue. Highly recommended!
